The Town of Ocean Isle Beach Recreation Department has announced the Peggy Hughes Summer Concert Series lineup for 2025. All events will take place at Town Center Park in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina and they will run from 6:30 - 8:00PM. For more information we encourage you to visit their website. The Bank of Botetourt Beach Music Festival has been announced and is scheduled for July 25th and 26th AT Glen Maury Park in Buena Vista, Virginia. Friday night kicks us off with The Feature Attraction Band at 6:00PM (gates at 5:00PM) - $5.00 admission  Friday, February 21 2025
The 2025 Second Saturday Concert Series scheule has been announced in Hillsville, Virginia. The opening bands will perform at the Hillsville Community Pavillion and the main bands will be on the main stage at the courthouse square. The Feature Attraction Band recently released a remastered version of their single "Two Loves Have I" that they originally recorded in 1989. Five of the original members featured on the 1989 recording are currently performing with FAB. Drummer Ken Watson remastered the single and they've released it to the streaming platforms as well as to your favorite beach music stations and DJs. The 12th Annual Beach Fest lineup has been announced and we've included the information from their website. Be sure to visit prior to attending for any updates and/or changes. Last Minute Tickets: $40.00 (on sale 4/12-4/25) Day of Tickets $50.00 Premier Parking will also be available for $20.00. There is a limited amount of these tickets and they WILL sell out! TENTS: Tent spaces will be selected in advance, you will not choose upon arrival. When tickets go on sale, you can purchase which spot you want your tent to be in, and then go to your assigned spot on the day of Beach Fest. Tents larger than 10x10 are NOT permitted.
RULES/NOTES: -There will be no tailgating allowed in parking areas -We're asking everyone to enter the gates of the venue as soon as they park and gather their items -Tents larger than 10x10 are not permitted. -Anyone using an umbrella must be in the tent area or have the umbrella down while bands are playing -Coolers are allowed, but NO glass allowed anywhere on the property, including parking lots -RV's are allowed in parking lots but no overnight camping. -No fighting -No pets -No weapons -No grilling -Blankets and chairs are allowed -NO RE-ENTRY, NO EXCEPTIONS. On January 29, 2025, The Embers featuring Craig Woolard announced the retirement of longtime bassist Gerald Davis. So many people have wished him good luck along with expressions of sadness that he's retiring along with so many stories and most of them ending with..."and he's such a nice guy". If you know Gerald or have ever talked with him you would also agree. Always a smile while on stage and smooth as silk, he will certainly be missed by not only the Embers but so many fans, friends and colleagues. Gerald started with the Embers in 1976 and he certainly leaves big shoes to fill. If you'd like to read his musical history, visit his bio page on the Embers website. If you'd like to attend the retirement party for Gerald, it will be held February 8, 2025 at 7:00PM at Loafers Beach Club, 605 Creekside Dr., Raleigh, North Carolina 27609. The Beach Music Blast at the Virginia Beach oceanfront has been set for May 10, 2025. The location of the event starting this year will be at the 17th Street Park. In addition to a weekend full of beach music you can enjoy the Beach Music Blast Car Show. The entertainment lineup will be announced soon and we'll be sure to update you on that once the schedule has been released.
