Smoothie / Ballad This award goes to a group or individual based on vocal performance, instrumentation, song selection, production and engineering. A smoothie is classified as a "shag" song that has a "soft" edge to it and ranges from 90-110 beats per minute (bpm), but notlimited to such. A ballad is classified as a slow dance song. Live Music Venue (Cecil Corbett Award) This Award goes to the club that primarily promotes live artistsand bands throughout the entire year. Must list Entire Club Name and Citylocated:
Female Vocalist This award goes to the individual female artist based on her recording or in-person performance.
Rising Star(s) This award goes to an individual or group, involved in Beach Music for 5 years or less, that has recorded a song that has been verifiably played in regular rotation“AND” charted on the Beach Music Air Force and/or individual Beach Music charts or compiledcharts like Beach Music 45.com.
Group Album of the Year This award goes to agroup of performers based on vocal and/or instrumentation, performance, songselection, production, artwork, liner notes, and engineering for a Compact Disc / DVD release of five songs ormore. You MUST listprojecttitle and artist
